Broke the old one after dropping it, and this replacement fits the mortar snugly. The beech wood handle feels sturdy and the ceramic head grinds spices smoothly without absorbing odors. Glad I didn't have to buy a whole new set.

The ceramic head is a perfect match for my mortar and glides smoothly when crushing spices, no slipping or wobbling. It's a bit heavier than my old one, but that actually helps with grinding. Fits snugly and feels like it'll last.
