The inside glaze has been specially created so the ingredients do not slip about, it does not stain or retain any odors. Its 4 rounded edges make it easy to handle. The pestle is made from beech wood, with a ceramic head. All Emile Henry products are made in France and offer a ten years guarantee.
For cleaning & care of the product with unglazed area, simply use dishwashing liquid, water, and a sponge – rinse well and air dry.
